About Us
Our story
From summer villa to lakeside hotel
The villa was built in the 1920s as a summer house for a family from Milan, who came over the border by boat. They named it after the lake steamer that used to carry them up from Como.
Today it is a hotel of 32 rooms. We kept the pier, the camellias and the long terrace, added a spa and an indoor pool, and turned the old boathouse level into the Casinò Acqua.

Two thirds of our rooms face the water, and the terrace, restaurant and casino bar all look out over it.

Lugano is fifteen minutes away by boat, and the hiking trails of Monte San Giorgio start behind the villa.

The Casinò Acqua
Below the lobby, behind a wall of glass facing the lake, the Casinò Acqua opens every evening at seven. It is a land-based casino with slot machines, roulette, blackjack, baccarat and a poker room, open to hotel guests and visitors aged 18 and over with valid photo ID.

Card tables dealt by our croupiers every night. Private tables can be booked in the VIP gaming lounge on the mezzanine.
Poker room
